Commencing operations in Port Hedland in 1981, with an additional base now located in Newman, Polar Aviation has established an enviable reputation for delivering reliable and dependable air services to the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. Specialising in Air Charter, Air Freight services, Scenic tours and Flight Training, Polar Aviation is equipped with a versatile fleet of aircraft suitable to meet a diverse range of requirements.Boasting an excellent safety record, our specialist knowledge of aircraft types, airstrip capability and operating conditions allow us to provide the highest standard of service in even the remote areas of Northern Western Australia.

Clark Butson

Clark is a dedicated member of the aviation industry. Rated as a Grade One Flying Instructor, he holds over 9,000 hours of flight instruction experience and as a pilot, over 18,500 hours of flying experience. His knowledge and experience transfer to his reputable Management abilities.

All Pilots employed with Polar Aviation are fully qualified and accustomed to flying in remote areas. They have all completed their Multi Engine Command Instrument Ratings (MECIR). The fleet is maintained by our Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME). Polar Aviation employs specialised staff in the areas of Operations, Flying and Aircraft Maintenance.
